Functional and Neuro-urology

The part of urology concerned with how the bladder and the pelvic floor work, and with the nerves that control them: pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, urodynamic testing and neuro-urology. This is where Dr. Khalil’s published research is concentrated. She is first author on a long-term follow-up study after minimally invasive sacrocolpopexy (International Urogynecology Journal, 2023) and on a study of how age and body mass index affect the outcomes of laparoscopic mesh sacrocolpopexy (Obstetrics and Gynecology International, 2025).
